Last weekend at Ripon Skatepark Caliskatz hosted it's 3rd Annual Hella Hella Nor-Cal Show. Some insane skating went down. Hella people showed up to witness.

This afternoon NHS got a special visit from the Vans Crew, while they were hittin' the road. They rolled their RV up from So Cal for a BBQ at Bill's Wheels.

So this year was a first for the Herbst and I.
Lee was like you have to go man, its a great place to see some great skating, see some old friends and just be your self and have a good time. Thats what skateboarding is all about.... right?
I was like, "sure man, lets do this!"
The posse consisted of The Herbst, baby Raven, Lee "dude I'm sorry!" Charron and Me, baby Jordy.
Now flying doesn't normally freak me out but for some reason the turbulence on this flight was like something out of a Steven king movie. The Herbst is all ready freaked out on flying so it definitely put a damper on things. I kept thinking to myself, dude it'll be like that one TV show where they crash on a deserted island with a bunch of hot chicks and they all live happily ever after..
Well turbulence ended, we didn't crash and I managed to spill my beer in my lap.

So I'll end it like this. Thanks vans and no thanks to Element and Mike V. Actually I take that back on Element. I actually like those dudes, except for the bearded butt hole. Mike V, how long have you been pro? 40? 50 years? anyways, way to long. I would think you knew how to handle your p's and Q's a little better, especially with your family in the crowd.
Is this what y our about? Beating up dudes who throw a board in the crowd of a skate board demo/contest?
How many of these things have you been to?
Did the reaction of the kids being into the creature board make you bummed?
Are you bummed that kids are into Black and green and not trees and lighting bolts?
Did your kid win the board in the toss and your bummed because now she wants to grip it and rip it?

So kids next time you support the company with the tree for a logo make sure you support dudes that actually skate and don't bring their jock straps to contests or demo's...
