Thank you to all that came out to watch the newest Santa Cruz Skateboards Movie "VDAY"! Jason Jessee, Keith Meek and Emmanuel Guzman all came to rage it up with the Santa Cruz employees and local Santa Cruz fans! Ray Stevens kept the music going strong and the Coastline Brewery was the perfect place for this event.. great staff, great food and even greater beer!
Here are a few photos but I hate to say, one of the cameras must have gotten into the beer too... it had a Memory Card error and the camera had a case of permanent STML... short term memory loss!

All in all, it was awesome! Jason Jessee spent a big part of the night outside with a 10 year old fan that had been waiting there for hours just to meet him! Let's just say that kids whole life was made in that one night!

Santa Cruz Skateboards makes Ted's life harder but sweeter by giving him a Pro Model! Yes, Ted DeGros is now Pro for Santa Cruz Skateboards. Well earned and welcome to the world of Pro Skateboarding Mr. DeGros!
Ted and TM Dr. Jones have been tooling around NHS and Santa Cruz on an undercover mission so I decided to steal Ted away from the warm Santa Cruz sun and ask him some questions in my indoor cavern of an office.

We talked about his 1st pro model and the Wallpaper series as a whole and this is what he said:
"We wanted to do a series, a team series and everybody's board would show the little things that make them who they are. And what we found out when we started designing them is it wasn't really what makes them up but what everyones vices are. Brass knuckles, cig packs, booze drinks, stripper poles, weed... and I got off light with video games and being Canadian.

I chose the Bear because I was named after it. My full name is Theodore.
It was my mothers selfish decision to name me Theodore so that I could nicknamed Teddy Bear. So that's why I choose the bear. It's an extremely big part of my inner makeup.. my spirit animal is part bear.

I chose hockey because I grew up playing hockey. I was going to quit skating for hockey when I was 13, then I quit hockey for skating because I didn't make the "A team". But I did just buy a pair a skates and now I play hockey again. And my filmer has to hunch over me all day to catch my trick and then kicks my ass at hockey.

Well I chose the Nintendo and put it in the center because that's definitely what I spent most of my time doing. And now I spend about a minimum of 6 months a year on trips away from my video games and television. I think my eyesights better now.
