OVERLOAD SKATESHOP "FEELIN' IT" PREMIERE WRAP UP!

Sounds like this premiere was a success! Only one thing was a bummer but it really has nothing to do with the Premiere itself. I have to say is SUPER PROPS to Tommy Sandoval on making it to the premiere and on his cover of the June2007 Skateboard Mag!
Kevin from Overload sent this email this morning:
Friday brought rain, but Saturday dawned sunny and the day ended up being BEAUTIFUL.
We arrived at CVS around noon and the kids we beginning to swarm. During the afternoon we executed 3 separate BEST TRICK contests: ledge gap, double set, and mini ramp extension.
At 2pm I got a call from Mike Sinclair telling me that he didn't think TOMMY was going to make it because he was on his way to the hospital with a bad ANKLE injury.
As dusk was approaching and we were setting up for the premiere, we got word that TOMMY was on his way and to wait for him. He was coming directly from the hospital with a fresh cast on his right leg. The ankle is broken. The crowd was the largest I've seen for a dvd premiere at CHULA and as darkness fell, Tommy arrived, and FEELIN IT played to a cheering crowd.

Note Tommy enjoying the Krux Feature Film with his leg & cast propped up.

According to Kevin, this guy below is the BIGGEST KRUX FAN he knows.

I gotta say, I believe it. He looks the part... eyes glued on the screen, concentrating so hard to take in every second of the film and has the proper Feelin It Sticker for a Feelin' It Film Premiere.
Now this has got me thinking.. I have not done a Strangenotes.com contest in awhile. So here goes:
Anyone who considers themselves to be an even larger Krux Fan then this guy, email me a photo and a short explanation of why you think you are a larger Krux fan then him. Winner will be chosen in 10 days from now... May 2nd... my birthday! Yep, I'm giving someone else a gift on my birthday! The ONE and ONLY ONE WINNER will win a copy of Feelin' It!
My email is clare@nhs-inc.com.... let's see who's the biggest Krux Fan!

I finally got to watch the finished product yesterday. Feelin it in all its glory.
At first I didn't want to watch it. After all the time and work its a little scary to be done. Time to get viewed and critiqued by the masses.

Well I get to review it first. Ha!
Now believe me when I lie to you and say that my opinion is completely unbiased.

This video is amazing. If April Fools and Blown Out were touted the "feel good videos" of their respective years (by me) then I would have to describe Feelin it as a life changing cinematic event that not only captures the visual essence of "krux dudes shreddin" but also encompasses the feeling and emotion of "krux dudes shreddin" on a worldwide scale.
I'm sure you'll agree.
The skits, the cities, the spots, the music and the good times shared with the boys nearly brought a tear to my eye but when all was said and done I was left with a smile.
Our goal was to leave you with one.
Enjoy.
Krux "Feelin it", out in a few weeks.

*******
wait, i'm not done. soapbox time.
totally unrelated to skateboarding. be warned.
its about Imus's comments about the Rutger's Women's team.
what he said was messed up but if he gets fired we're all one step closer to losing freedom of speech... in my opinion. thank you.
