Board Bangers!!!!

Once again, our webmaster extrordinare; Larson, aka Lars Diesel, has proven that he indeed has his fingers on the pulse of modern skateboarding.
board bangers

O.k., deep breath here...
You ever see something that is so absoludicris that it blows your mind away by simultaneously being completely insane and yet totally cutting edge?
Yeah, Board Bangers does that for me.
I think it should have been "Bangerz" with a z but I really don't think its my place to judge art of this nature.
I've only watched that video twice and their other youtube "hit" "Skate and Rap too" (truly a gem) but I find I already kind of have a crush on Mrs. Skateboard.
Wow, this makes Ice Cream look like the end all authority on skateboarding.
It must be hard to skate and rap...and do it well.
I totally want to sponsor them cause I think they've found their niche in the skateboard world and could really go bigtime with their direction but then again, that's what I thought about the Maverick Skateboard Girls.

If you can still maintain coherent thoughts after that cereberal onslaught I would like to mention that Krux's very own Tommy Sandoval got 10th last weekend at Tampa pro. He good.

Marcos Rips! You'll be Feelin' it soon!

Marcos Gomez rides for Krux. He lives in Barcelona.

Look at that hot pink beanie and tell me he's not Krux material. You can't.
When I send him packages I have to piggyback them with shipments to our distributor in Spain, Sport 2002.
Now I've been known to miss a shipment or two and next thing you know, Marcos is out of trucks for months on end. He email's me, no trucks arrive. Then he starts to worry if I'm alive or not.
Now I hate leaving the kid (man) high and dry. The 2 times I've been to Barcelona he took really good care of us and he totally kills it on the skateboard.
Well, thanks to the lovely Krysta's international and internal communication skills I actually didn't miss the shipment this time! Thanks Krysta!
Only thing is, its a big shipment and its going by boat. So even though I put together a nice box to keep Marcos on warm, fresh Krux for the next half a year, its still going to be a while before he gets them.
On top of all that, we just put his footage together for the krux video "Feelin' It" and its some really good stuff.
So this blog is dedicated to my man, Marcos Gomez with a big thanks for everything and a sincere apology on my package lagging.
So why don't you check out this footage of Marcos cold ripping it in Barcelona and prepare yourself for Feelin it. Coming this april.

Now here's where I segway into "Ron's Soapbox" because, well, I can.
I was sitting at my desk this morning and in walks Creature's own Lee Charron.
He says "Hey, check out this 7.8 we're making."

Then he turned it around to show me the graphics and it has my name on it!
Well it wasn't my name but it was close. It says Ronaldo Whalebone which is even better since its a combination of nicknames. Lucas Musgrave did the graphics and its a whale skelton eating a boat (hooded man in a canoe?).
I love it.

So I gave Lee a hug and said thank you. He left and I just sat there staring at it, dumbfounded. I kinda got a little teary eyed. Not only because this awesome gift was such a suprise and obviously pre meditated but because I have really just been sucking ass on a skateboard lately.
So once again I feel simultaneously stupid for having a skateboard with my name on it and crazy proud at the same time. Hell, I've paid dues in my day so screw it, right?
I've decided I need to do a good trick on it and get a photo or footy of it out of appreciation that I ever got to have my name on a skateboard in the first place.
Thank you Lee. Thank you Lucas.
You guys are cool.
